Recently, US President Donald Trump in a Twitter message threatened to target the rich cultural sites of Iran (Pentagon has since clarified they will not do so). Raised eyebrows aside, did you know that Iran has over 20 UNESCO world heritage sites? This culturally and historically rich country is also home to a civilisation that dates back to 4395 BC. That is older than the Egyptian civilisation! 

We bring you 15 cultural sites in Iran that could be destroyed if POTUS does decide to go ahead with the threat:
