With the oncoming of Spring, Srinagar plays host to the vibrant and serene Tulip Festival. The entire valley immersed in an array of colours makes for a compelling sight. Numerous varieties of tulips like the Parrot Tulip, Fringed Tulip, Fosteriana Tulip, to name a few, enamour the garden. Taking place at the foothills of the Zabarwan Range in the Kashmiri capital, Srinagar, the over month-long occasion celebrates the season of bloom and life in the valley.

The Dal Lake set in the backdrop of the Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden, where the festival is being held, adds to the visual delight here. This floral dreamland closes by May 5 so, if you are a flower or nature enthusiast, you should book your tickets to Kashmir fast.
