Enjoy a panoramic view of downtown Los Angeles and the hills beyond from California’s tallest open-air observation deck, the Skyspace(skyspace-la.com), 1,000 feet above ground. Sights include views from the San Gabriel Mountains, the Pacific Ocean, as well as iconic landmarks like the Hollywood sign and Santa Monica. Then take a ride in an outdoor glass Skyslide that traverses the 45 feet between the 70th and 69th floors of the US Bank Tower. The slide, made of 1 ¼-inch clear glass, is fixed on the outside of the building which is the tallest on the West Coast. The ride is part of a $50-million renovation of the building’s Skyspace observation deck. A Daily Admission-Timed Ticket costs $25 for adults (ages 13-64), $19 for children (3-12 years) and $22 for seniors (65+). Other options, including flexi-time tickets, are also available.
