Known for its rolling hills, lakeside paths and unique architecture, Michigan has trails suitable for every cyclist’s comfort and interest. Northern Michigan has trails winding through secluded forests, rolling hills, and soaring dunes. Go mountain biking on trails located at the tip of Keweenaw Peninsula at Copper Harbour. Marquette County, in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, also has some of the best mountain biking in the Great Lakes region. The Iron Ore Heritage Trail hosts a number of competitive races and festivals including the Ore to Shore Mountain Bike Epic, Michigan’s largest mountain bike race.
