The Uttarakhand tourism board has announced this monetary scheme for eligible tour operators

Ahead of the International Yoga Festival (IYF) 2023, the Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board (UTDB) has announced that tour operators who are able to snag bookings from international tourists to the festival will get an incentive of up to Rs 5 lakh. The event will be held at Rishikesh from 1st March to 7th March, 2023.  

Each tour operator who succeeds in booking an international tourist will be awarded this monetary price, which starts from Rs 10,000 per foreign tourist and goes up to Rs 5 lakh.

Who Are Eligible?

Tour operators who are accredited by the International Association of Tour Operators (IATO), Ministry of Tourism (MOT) and UTDB will reap the benefits of this scheme.

How to Claim the Prize

Proof of booking has to be provided via valid documents to claim the prize. Documents include details of booking and registration of international guests participating in the International Yoga Festival 2023, copies of their passports and valid visas and hotel bookings etc. Besides these, the participants must also submit proof of marketing promotion for IYF 2023. 

Deadline

The application and required documents must be submitted before 15th March, 2023 after the festival concludes, to claim the incentive.
