Located inside the Eco Park, a 480 acre sprawling verdant space, including a 100 acre waterbody, on the eastern fringe of the city, the Convention Centre is away from the crowd and the pollution. Besides, the park contains a bouquet of attractions and activities suitable for all ages, fine dining options, a golf course, etc.
Puneet Chhatwal, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, IHCL, said, “Kolkata is the commercial and financial hub of east India with tremendous potential. With the opening of Taal Kutir Convention Centre, the city will be able to host large scale conferencing and events. We are delighted to partner with Mr. Harshavardhan Neotia and the Ambuja Neotia Group in expanding and strengthening this growing segment.”
Taal Kutir Convention Centre is strategically located in close proximity to the airport. The contemporary design draws inspiration from the architecture and culture of Bengal. The expansive banqueting and conferencing facilities offer six venues ranging from 3000 sq. ft. to over 12,500 sq. ft. This includes indoor and outdoor venues with open-to-sky terraces.
Harshavardhan Neotia, Chairman, Ambuja Neotia Group, said, “We are delighted to open a state-of-the-art convention centre for the people of Kolkata. Our growing partnership with IHCL will give a strong impetus to the development of tourism in the east.”
The Convention Centre is equipped to handle world-class events, destination wedding, and other glamorous celebrations, said the collaborators in a release.
