If you have been planning to travel to Nepal this year end, here is one new luxury address to check out in Kathmandu.

Hyatt Place Kathmandu, the second Hyatt-branded hotel in Nepal, has become operational.

The hotel is set back from the crowded city centre but within easy reach of Kathmandu's famous attractions, including the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. It is located in Tahachal, 4 km away from the city centre. Some of the attractions you cannot miss are Pashupatinath Temple, Swayambhunath Stupa, and the Durbar Square. Durbar Marg, Thamel and New Road are the places to go if you are looking for some shopping and souvenir hunting.

Hyatt Place Kathmandu in a release said the new hotel features the Hyatt Place brand’s intuitive design, casual atmosphere and practical amenities, such as Free Wi-Fi Everywhere and 24-hour food offerings. There are 153 spacious guest rooms with separate spaces to sleep, work and play, as well as a Cozy Corner sofa-sleeper.

There are plenty of dining options, starting from the Breakfast Bar featuring a selection of hot and cold items to Zing World of Flavors which largely dishes out South-East Asian cuisine along with Italian-Mediterranean options, from Zing Sky Bar & Lounge (a poolside venue with sunset views) to The Market serving freshly prepared meals anytime, day or night.

For corporate meetings and events, the hotel has earmarked over 500 square meter of flexible, high-tech meeting and function space. There is also a Fitness Center featuring cardio equipment with LCD touchscreens.

According to co-owner Akshay Golyan, Executive Director, City Hotel Ltd, “Kathmandu is a vibrant city, filled with historic and artistic sites, friendly people, exciting neighborhoods, and an ever-expanding list of places to visit and experience.” Shakti Golyan, Chairman of City Hotel Ltd, is the other co-owner. At the helm of Hyatt Place Kathmandu (HyattPlaceKathmandu.com) is General Manager Varun Talwar.

World of Hyatt members can earn 500 Bonus Points for qualifying nights at Hyatt Place Kathmandu between November 15, 2021 through February 16, 2022, subject to terms and conditions.

Note: Nepal is open for fully vaccinated international travellers. They are also eligible for a visa on arrival and do not have to quarantine. Travellers must have taken their vaccine shots 14 days prior to their travel date.
