A day after Nevada’s biggest casinos were allowed to run at full capacity (that too without social distancing), Las Vegas announced that the fully vaccinated no longer have to wear a mask in most indoor and outdoor settings.

This policy follows the CDC's latest directives on masks for the fully vaccinated.

Las Vegas had previously made masks a mandatory part of COVID-19 safety protocols even while playing table games. But the scene seems to be getting back into full swing, slowly.

Renowned casino chains such as MGM Grand Hotel & Casino, the Bellagio Resort & Casino, the ARIA Resort & Casino, and others have announced that they are dropping mask requirements.

A few casinos such as Caesars Entertainment have not agreed to eliminate masks yet though.

The enormous company which owns numerous resorts including Caesars Palace Las Vegas, Harrah's Las Vegas, Bally's Las Vegas, and Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino have stated that they are maintaining "strict adherence to CDC, state, local and regulatory guidance throughout the COVID-19 pandemic and will continue to do so."

Some have introduced their own set of guidelines for their casinos. The famous Wynn and Encore Las Vegas said that guests and employees who are at least 14 days out from their final dose of a vaccine will no longer have to wear face masks while at the property. They further added "If you are not fully vaccinated, please take the proper precautions and wear a face covering".

The Nevada Gaming Control Board stated on Twitter that casinos in the city should choose to enforce "more restrictive" protocols, but the board also added that it will not prohibit Nevada businesses from confirming the vaccination status of their guests.

The city of sin has welcomed visitors through most of the ongoing pandemic and now has allowed several casinos to return to 100% capacity on gaming floors following approval from the Nevada Gaming Control Board.

Casinos aren't the only ones in the US who are easing up mask restrictions. Numerous theme parks in Florida, including Universal Orlando and The Disney World, have lifted mask requirements for outdoors.
