The Airport Council International (AIC) in collaboration with Apple Maps has come up with new health measures for passengers travelling by air. The updated information can be viewed on Apple Maps through any Apple device. Users of Apple Maps can access the new airport regulations for COVID-19 for over 300 airports worldwide, including five Indian airports.

The Indian airports displaying travel advisory on Apple Maps are Indira Gandhi International Airport- Delhi, Chandigarh Airport, Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport &ndash Mumbai, Kempegowda International Airport &ndash Bengaluru, and Rajiv Gandhi International Airport &ndash Hyderabad.

The information displayed on the airport place cards specifies local requirements for passengers to board their flight such as face shields, health tests or screenings, physical distancing, quarantine on arrival, or any health declaration required by the airport.

A link at the bottom of the airport place card has been added for users to access additional information. The same can be viewed on the airport&rsquos COVID-19 web page as well.

For detailed information, ACI suggests that travellers download the &lsquoCheck and Fly&rsquo app which is available for both iOS and Android users.

Additional information about the airport guidelines in the link on Apple Maps has been sourced from ACI&rsquos Heath Measure Portal. These guidelines will also be displayed at airports around the globe.

Apart from the COVID-19 travel guidance for airports, Apple Maps now also showcases vaccine sites and testing locations from 4,400 retailers on their place cards, making it easier for their users to navigate through the pandemic.
