In these pandemic times, tourism departments have been busy coming up with new ideas to attract visitors. With international travel on the backburner, domestic options are being tapped like never before.

From caravan tourism to local festivals, cruises, and opening up unexplored areas, India's state tourism departments are bringing their A game to the table.

The latest is God's Own Country which has launched the travel campaign,&rdquo My First Trip 2021&rdquo. It is being led by well-known Indian social media influencers and is set to end on March 29.

The influencers will each come up with a curated itinerary of six nights and five days all tailored to help Kerala Tourism attract tourists through exclusive content.

Rani George, Principal Secretary of Tourism in Kerala, said, "The trip will give the participants a chance to not only visit the famous tourist destinations in Kerala, but also experience the cuisine, culture, art, and other popular activities around. Now, these vloggers can also spread the word to the world that Kerala is safer to explore since Covid-19 cases are on the decline in the state. So, people would understand the situation."

Under the campaign, all images, videos, and written content, which will be shared on various social media platforms under the hashtag #MyFirstTrip will be used as a means to announce that Kerala is still open for tourism in the post-Covid era.

The ten influencers will visit tourist destinations such as the Jatayu Earth Center in Kollam, the Thumboormuzhi Garden in Chalakudy, Thrissur, Vazhachal, and Athirapally waterfalls, among others. Keep an eye on their social media platforms for ideas on your next Kerala trip.
