Berlin Pop-Up Event will Explore Post-COVID Travel Industry Issues

The event is aimed at looking at tourism recovery in the post-COVID world

The Berlin Travel Festival is organising a tourism recovery pop-up in Berlin, We Love Travel, which will take place from October 16 to 18.

It will be a hybrid pop-up event which means that visitors can attend both virtually and in-person. A part of the agenda will be whether business can be carried out as usual after the COVID-19 or whether there will be any changes.  

A diverse list of programmes is being arranged both online and offline including workshops, discussions and presentations. Some of the sessions comprise of a programme elaborating the latest figures and facts from the tourism industry, the latest findings in market research and their value in the industry, a discussion on the future of package tourism, an event on the role of marketing, and an important session on social responsibility in tourism.

Events iwill also focus on the effects of the coronavirus in accelerating digitisation in the tourism industry. Market representatives will talk about the &lsquonew normal&rsquo in the business models, and look at confidence-building strategies by the industry when communicating with travellers. Young start-up entrepreneurs and experienced industry pioneers will discuss the latest innovations and how to manage the crisis at hand.

The weekend will focus on the general public where documentary filmmakers and photographers will talk about their journeys and provide tips. People will learn about camping and outdoor activities along with various travel related products.
