When the eminent American fast-food chain (serving Mexican) publicized that The Bell: A Taco Bell Hotel and Resort was cropping up in Palm Springs, California for the span of one short weekend (beginning 9thAugust), ardent fans took no more than 2 mins to completely book out all rooms!

Well, that’s just supply and outrageous demand for you. There were about 70 taco-themed rooms on offer and a few hundred thousand people vying for those coveted spots. End results? Several users reported receiving messages from the website that stated, ‘experiencing higher than normal traffic’. Taco Bell's Chief Global Brand Officer Marisa Thalberg said that Taco Bell has truly one of a kind fans and that this was the best expression of that fandom yet.

So what lies in store for those lucky few guests you ask? Except obvious bragging rights, there is a salon with Taco Bell nail art, a Taco Bell themed gift shop and a “happier hour” with snacks and cocktails. While all of Taco Bell’s hits are sure to feature, there are said to be “new menu surprises only available at the hotel”.

If you felt like you missed out this time around and would like to be amid the action for such forthcoming experiences, we recommend signing up for updates of The Bell Hotel here.
