Hotel Homely Raj: Budget stay in Kolkata

There is no place like Homely Raj, that we can readily vouch for, and not just in Kolkata. The menu, just vegetarian 'south Indian' and 'pizzas', not a chapati or naan or tandoori in sight is unbelievable - and unbelievably good. Indeed, more people go there just to eat idli-dosa-vada-upma-pongal than stay there. However, stay you should if you need to be in the bustle of busiest South Cal (south Kolkata). Rooms are clean, modern in a corporate-cubicle manner, with 12-hours room service only and up some steep, narrow stairs.
