Andretta Village, Himachal Pradesh- A very small hamlet, untouched by the throng of tourists and the city’s bustle, Andretta village is a paradise hiding in plain sight. Known as Artist’s Colony, this Himalayan hamlet was established in 1920 and offers exceptional scenic landscape and is famed for its pottery and crafts shops.

Best time to visit- Between February and June is the most suitable time to visit this place.

 

Getting there- The village is 17 km from Palampur, which is a well-connected town and easily accessible 

 

Haflong, Assam- The only hill station of Assam is blessed with lush valleys and misty vistas. The scenic views and the pleasant climate will make you want to stay there for a long time. Go on long walks and explore the nearby forests to find hidden trails.

 

Best time to visit- The best season to visit is between October to April.

 

Getting there- The nearest airport to Haflong is Nagaland’s Dimapur Airport which is 266 km and is well connected by flights from Delhi and other places.

 

Turtuk, Ladakh- This breathtaking hill station is practically an unknown entity, only known to seasoned travellers. It is the best place for nature trails but is also equally amazing for the lazy bones who could just sit back and relax while enjoying an amazing view.

 

Best time to visit- Summers are the ideal season to visit and enjoy the gorgeous fruit orchards. 

 

Getting there-The nearest airport to Turtuk is in Leh, Ladakh which is 205 km and easily accessible. From there you can hire a cab to Turtuk which should take you somewhere between 6 to 7 hours. 

 

Sirmaur, Himalayan range- Sirmaur is a rurally populated district in Himachal Pradesh. For a well-deserved break from the city, visit this village and enjoy its laid-back lifestyle and scenic beauty. 

 

Best time to visit- Summer is the best time so between March and October is an ideal time to visit Sirmaur. However, if harsh winters and snow are your thing then you could visit during the winter months as well. 

 

Getting there-The nearest railway station to Sirmaur is Barog but not every train stops at the station so, going by road is the ideal way.

 

Kausani, Uttarakhand- A quaint township situated atop 1900 metres above the sea, Kausani is as beautiful as its name. Enjoy the 300 km panoramic view of the Himalayan range with the most picturesque scenery one could ask for.

 

Best time to visit- Summer is your ideal time so between April and June.

 

Getting there- Take a bus from Delhi to Kausani which is roughly 400 km and takes about 5 hours or hire a cab from Dehradun.
