Billionaire-Mukesh Ambani's youngest son Anant Ambani got engaged to Radhika Merchant in "Roka" ceremony at the Shrinathji Temple in Nathdwara, Rajasthan today in the presence of family members and friends. The couple was blessed by the priests of the temple and they spent the day at the temple seeking Lord Shrinathji’s blessings for their upcoming union and participated in the traditional Raj-bhog-shringaar ceremonies at the temple.
Radhika Merchant is daughter of Shaila and Viren Merchant. Her father is CEO of Encore Healthcare.
Radhika, who hails from Kutch in Gujarat, has been living in Mumbai and she completed her schooling at Mumbai's Cathedral and John Connon School, and also at Ecole Mondiale World School. Later she went to New York University to study politics and economics.
Merchant is a trained Bharatnatyam dancer. Her arangetram ceremony was held in June at Mumbai's Jio World Centre. An arangetram is a dancer's completion of their formal training in classical dance and their debut on-stage performance. Radhika Merchant is a disciple of Guru Bhavana Thakar of Shree Nibha Arts, according to NDTV report.
Anant and Radhika have known each other for a few years and today’s ceremony commences the formal journey of their marriage in the coming months. Both families seek the blessings and good wishes of everyone for Radhika and Anant as they start their journey of togetherness.
At present, Radhika is on board of Encore Healthcare and is known to be an ardent animal lover and is actively into animal welfare.
