Reliance Jio Infocomm's net profit in December quarter rose 28 per cent to Rs 4,638 crore compared with Rs 3,615 crore during the same quarter last year.
Its revenue from operations advanced 19 per cent to Rs 22,998 crore as against Rs 19,347 crore in the year ago period, the country's largest telecom company said.
Jio's subscriber base rose nearly 3 per cent annually to 432.9 million and its average revenue per user (ARPU), a key metric of telecom company's profitability, improved to Rs 178.2 per subscriber per month compared with Rs 177.2 in the previous quarter and Rs 151.6 in the same period last year, Jio said in a press release.
The company is setting up 5G Network and continues augmenting its existing wireless and wireline network capacity. Jio is mainly engaged in the business of providing digital services.
