BREAKING: In a major shock to one of India's biggest IT companies, the Infosys President Mohit Joshi has stepped down from his role. As per official updates, Joshi, who spent close to 22 years at the company has resigned just days after the former President stepped up to become Cognizant's CEO.
According to media reports, Mohit Joshi was responsible for the Financial Services and Healtcare/Life Sciences business at Infosys. In addition to this job role, he was also the Chairman of Edgeverve Systems.
In an official regulatory filing, Infosys submitted, "Infosys, a global leader in next-generation digital services and consulting, today announced the resignation of Mohit Joshi, President. Effective March 11, 2023 he will be on leave and his last date with the company would be June 09, 2023. The Board of Directors placed on record their deep sense of appreciation for the services rendered by Mohit Joshi and for his contributions to the company."
Infosys President Mohit Joshi's resignation comes as a second shock to the IT giant in a short span. Before this, Ravi S Kumar, the former President left the company for Cognizant. As per a TOI report, Joshi would stay in the company till June.
