The cryptocurrency market on January 5 was trading with mixed signals as most of the cryptocurrencies were trading with gains, while some altcoins like Solana (SOL) were trading with losses. Most coins, including Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Binance (BNB) were up.
The overall crypto market cap was up by 0.24 per cent to $819.92 billion and its trading volume was up by 12.21 per cent to $33.15 billion, according to data from Coinmarketcap.com at 9 AM.
SOL was trending first in the list. BTC was at the second place in the trending cryptocurrency list, followed by Polygon (MATIC).
eCash (XEC) and Chiliz (CHZ) were the top gainers, whereas the top losers were Huobi Token (HT) and Aptos (APT).
Bitcoin: BTC was up by 0.13 per cent to $16,831.64. BTC’s trading volumes were up by 12.37 per cent at $17,076,659,873.
BTC was swinging between the range of $16,789.75 and $16,964.59 over the last 24 hours.
BTC was trending second and its dominance is currently 39.53 per cent, a decrease of 0.05 per cent over the day.
Binance: Binance (BNB) was trading with gains this morning. It was up by 0.37 per cent at $257.47 and trading in the range between $254.11 and $260.52.
BNB’s trading volumes were up by 0.12 per cent at $511,436,854.
Ethereum: Ethereum (ETH) was trading with gains, with 0.54 per cent at $1,253.03 in the last 24 hours to Thursday morning.
Ethereum was swinging between the highs of $1,264.81 and lows of $1,246.21. Its trading volume level was up by 21.68 per cent at $5,490,594,026.
SOL's price was down by 3.7 per cent at $13.17 today and its 24-hour trading volume was up by 32.36 per cent at $937,327,375.
Ripple (XRP) was down by 1.25 per cent at $0.3461 and its 24-hour trading volume was $748.96 million.
Cardano (ADA) was up by 0.38 per cent to $0.2658. Cardano’s 24-hour trading volume was $246.08 million.
Dogecoin (DOGE) was up by 1.19 per cent at $0.07302. Its 24-hour trading volume was up by 7.41 per cent at $350,284,326.
Shiba Inu (SHIB) was up by 1.54 per cent to $0.000008397.
Yearn.Finance (YFI) was down by 1 per cent to $5,406.92. Its 24-hour trading volume was down by 16.71 per cent at $20,797,584.
Avalanche (AVAX) was up by 2.91 per cent at $12.09 and its 24-hour trading volume was up by 18.07 per cent at $197,378,411.
Aave (AAVE) was up by 1.86 per cent at $55.86. Its 24-hour trading volume was $69.72 million.
