Other than rich wildlife and green forests, arts and crafts in the state of Madhya Pradesh are unique from region to region. Major works of art include durries, folk paintings, textile weaving, doll crafts, bamboo crafts, metal crafts, stone carvings and zari embroidery.

Malaya Handicrafts and café in Tala village of Bandhavgarh is a storehouse of rare artefacts collected from all over the country by its owner Neelam Verma. One can also see bamboo crafts being made by local people in the same village. Around 150 km from Jabalpur is a unique place called Art Ichol, which is open for public visit. One can see all sizes of sculptures made of wood, stone, ceramics and iron inside. Kanha Museum of Life and Art at Singinawa Jungle Lodge also has a great collection of indigenous Gond and Baiga artworks. Visit to Patangarh village is a must to see reasonably priced small-format Gond paintings made by local artists. Properties around the parks have also put local artefacts on display for the guests to get the sense of local culture.
