VHP leaders accused West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee of being ‘anti-Hindu’ after she refused to speak at a public event in Kolkata on Saturday after she was greeted with ‘Jai Shree Ram’ chants
The demolition of the Babri Masjid was a criminal act. Yet, possession of the land, on which it was situated, has been awarded to a to-be-formed Hindu trust.
The VHP international chief also alleged that the Congress's "vote-bank politics" was responsible for creating hassles in the construction of the Ram temple.
In attempts to garner support for building a Ram temple at Ayodhya, Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) international working president Alok Kumar said Sunday the outfit will hold gatherings in every Lok Sabha constituency till December 6.
Although, there is heavy security deployment, many were violating the prohibitory orders in place with hundreds of thousands of Ram Lalla followers converging to the temple town, police said.
BJP MP Ravindra Kushwaha said he was sure the Bill will be passed by the Lok Sabha but it was not clear if the other House will also okay it as the Bharatiya Janata Party does not have the numbers there.
“The motive is political and there is no doubt about it. The ground is being prepared for the 2019 Lok Sabha polls,” said All India Muslim Personal Law Board members.
"The way in which the chief minister has made us believe that soon Ram Temple will be constructed in Ayodhya, I have full faith in him that it will happen. We need to have patience" Champat Rai said.
He also said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had time to meet Pakistan's prime minister, but does not have "the courtesy to meet your childhood friend (Togadia)" .
"Let us sit together, one to one, do the old time heart to heart discussions over cups of simple roadside tea and let us take the nation ahead," Togadia wrote in his letter.
