VHP working president Alok Kumar, in a statement, said the Ram Janmabhoomi Nyas had obtained the land for the construction of the Ram temple.

VHP international working president Pravin Togadia said curtailing media's voice in any name was dangerous to citizen rights.

He also said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had time to meet Pakistan's prime minister, but does not have "the courtesy to meet your childhood friend (Togadia)" .

"Let us sit together, one to one, do the old time heart to heart discussions over cups of simple roadside tea and let us take the nation ahead," Togadia wrote in his letter.
