Bollywood veteran Rishi Kapoor's autobiography titled "Khullam Khulla" hit the stands on Sunday. The title of the book has been borrowed from the 64-year-old actors famous song "Khullam Khulla Pyar Karenge Hum Dono".

Earlier, talking about the upcoming autobiography, Rishi had said that whatever is in the book comes straight from his heart.

In the book, Rishi has mentioned about his meetings with gangster Dawood Ibrahim before the 1992 Mumbai blasts, and said the don was “extremely nice to me”.

In the year 1988, when Rishi had landed in Dubai with one of his friends for an Asha Bhosle-RD Burman night, he was  stopped by one of Dawood's aide. The man walked up to him and handed him a phone to speak to Dawood, who invited Rishi to his house, as mentioned in the report by The Times of India.

Rishi mentions that it was before the 1993 blasts in Mumbai and he didn't think of Dawood as a fugitive on the run.

"He wasn't an enemy of the state yet. Or, at least, that was the impression I had. Dawood welcomed me and said, 'If there is anything you need, just let me know.' He also invited me to his house. I was taken aback," Rishi wrote.

He also wrote about how Dawood mentioned about loving his film Tawaif because Rishi played a character called Dawood. The gangster was pleased that through the film he had (unwittingly) glorified his name.

In the book, Rishi has also made some very personal revelations about him facing depression after the movie Karz.

He wrote," I had thought Karz (1980) would do wonders for my career. It had wonderful music, and some great work by the cast and crew. When that didn't happen, I lost my nerve, sinking into a deep depression."

Revealing about his family and personal life, Rishi has recalled how as a small child lying next to his mother, at their home in Deonar, he would be afraid of his father as he would sometimes return home drunk well after midnight, as mentioned in a Firstpost report.

However, Rishi has admitted that he has led a charmed life and he begins with the moment of his birth, ‘under a lucky star’.
