A 60-year-old woman and her son were killed in Uttar Pradesh’s Meerut district a day before their court appearance to testify in a murder case,reported NDTV.
The 60-year-old woman sitting on a cot outside her house was shot 10 times,including in her face, from point blank range as it was vividly captured by a CCTV camera. Her son was found shot dead in a car near the village.
The incident happened on Wednesday. Both Nichettar Kaur and her son, Balwinder were supposed to appear before a court to testify in the case of Kaur’s husband’s murder. He was killed in a land dispute in 2016. Kaur and her son were warned by people close to the accused against testifying in court.

According to the report, the police have said that after the incident five cops have been suspended for administrative lapses.
According to the report, the CCTV footage shows the woman sitting on a cot outside her house along with another woman. A man walks up to them and fires at the chest of Nichettar Kaur. Soon, two more men comes and repeatedly fires at her torso. They ask the other woman to leave the spot. One shoots Kaur in the head and the other two shoot her in the face. After this, all of them fled.
