Tim Southee’s 6/43 ensured that New Zealand took a healthy first innings lead of 103 runs on Day 4 of their first Test against hosts England at Lord’s on Saturday. Rory Burns kept England in the game with a determined 132 of 247 balls studded with 14 fours and one six but in the end his efforts went in vain as England’s middle collapsed. Ollie Robinson scored 42 as Ollie Pope (22) added crucial runs. England lost their skipper Joe Root of the first ball of the day for individual score of 42. In the end England were all out for 275 in 101.1 overs. Kyle Jamieson took 3/85, while Neil Wagner snared 1/83.   New Zealand were cautious in their second essay but England bowlers produced a mighty effort to snare two wickets Robinson took 2/8 as New Zealand finished on 62/2 at stumps.
