It took only 58.3 overs for India to wrap up Bangladesh's first innings at Indore on Thursday, and the destroyer-in-chief was Mohammed Shami. He took three wickets, including two off successive deliveries, as India dismissed the visitors for paltry 150 runs.

After the first day's play, Shami revealed that the thought of a hat-trick was going on in his mind during the tea break. He had the chance to become the third Indian after Harbhajan Singh and Irfan Pathan to claim a Test hat-trick but missed out on the golden opportunity.

However, India managed a team hat-trick with Ishant Sharma removing Liton Das with the very first delivery after the break. Earlier, Shami dismissed Mushfiqur Rahim and Mehidy Hasan Miraz off successive deliveries just before the final break.

Watch the fall of all three wickets here:

Shami and his pace mates claimed seven wickets in the innings. This was the first time in two years that Indian pacers managed to bag seven wickets or more in a Test innings at home.

Shami and Bhuvneshwar Kumar took four wickets each while Umesh got two in the Kolkata Test against Sri Lanka in 2017.
