Indian ace shuttler PV Sindhu crashed to a second straight defeat in the BWF World Tour Finals, losing to Chen Yufei, 20-22 21-16 21-12.
The defeat also ends Sindhu's quest to stay alive in the season-ending tournament. After going a game up, the Indian faltered in dramatic circumstances in 1 hour 12 minutes.
In the first game, Chen Yufei lost 20-22, with Sindhu winning five consecutive points. Meanwhile, Chen Yufei won the second game, and also registered three game points. The third game was also won by the Chinese, with six consecutive points.
Also, in her previous match, Sindhu lost to Akane Yamaguchi, 18-21 21-18 21-8.
