BJP leader Kailash Vijayvargiya took to Twitter rather aggressively on Saturday after his party lost in the three Hindi heartland states of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, attacking Congress President Rahul Gandhi's take on national politics and his lineage.
Vijayvargiya tweeted, "A child born from a foreign woman can never be patriotic, nor have national interests at heart," along with a hashtag '#SaturdayMotivation'.
Although the disrespectful tweet was taken down after facing a backlash on the micro-blogging site, he refuses to apologise for his comment on Gandhi's lineage and patriotism.
Sonia Gandhi, Rahul's mother and Former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi's widow, is Italian by origin but has long accepted her nationality as an Indian citizen.

Congress spokesperson Priyanka Chaturvedi retaliated to Vijayvargiya's impolite tweet, saying that he requires immediate mental treatment for the injuries caused by his defeat in Madhya Pradesh, as quoted by NDTV.
