Congress president Rahul Gandhi today tweeted a new set of ideas for Narendra Modi’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ after the Prime Minister solicited ideas and suggestions from the public for the monthly radio programme.

“Modi Ji, last month you ignored my suggestions for your Mann Ki Baat monologue. Why ask for ideas when in your heart you know what every Indian wants to hear you speak about?

1.      Nirav Modi's 22,000 Cr. Loot & Scoot

2.      The 58,000 Cr. RAFALE scam.

I look forward to your sermon.”

The Congress and the BJP have been grappling to put each other on the mat over the Punjab National Bank scam. The opposition are fanning the public’s angst over how the alleged fraudsters – Vijay Mallya, Lalit Modi, Nirav Modi – managed to flee the country before law enforcers could reach them.

The Congress has also been calling out the BJP government for refusing to table details of the Rs. 58,000-crore Rafale fighter aircraft deal, accusing the Centre of letting the French company rip off the exchequer.Rahul, while launching his party campaign in poll-bound Karnataka, had alleged that Modi had "personally" changed the Rafale contract during his visit to France to give it to a "friend"

Last month also, Rahul had tweeted a set of suggestions for Modi’s Mann Ki Baat. But, obviously, they were not considered by the prime minister.

In January, Rahul tweeted: "Dear @narendramodi, since you've requested some ideas for your #MannKiBaat monologue, tell us about how you plan to: Get our youth JOBS, Get the Chinese out of DHOKA-LAM, Stop the RAPES in Haryana."

In the last two years, Modi’s twin gambles of demonetization and GST had squeezed investments, dried up employment in the country and slammed the brakes on India’s growth. PM’s ‘pakoda’ remark, in which he said fritter-sellers who earn Rs 200 a day can be considered employed, helped opposition spotlight the rising unemployment in the country.

Often dubbed by the Opposition as a “monologue”, Modi’s Mann ki Baat, has been criticized of taking up only lightweight topics. Modi hosts 'Mann Ki Baat' on the last Sunday of every month.
