A Sunday evening in the capital and a glitzy ceremony to look forward to; that of Union Minister Nitin Gadkari’s daughter. According to a report in The Hindustan Times, over 10,000 guests will make their way to New Delhi in 50 chartered flights tonight.

The VVIP guest-list will take some beating. It has Union Minister Rajnath Singh, the BJP President Amit Shah and industrialists Mukesh Ambani, Kumar Mangalam Birla and Ratan Tata. Shiv Sena and MNS chiefs, Uddhav and Raj Thackeray will also be present at the ceremony as will BJP’s LK Advani and Chief Ministers and other Union ministers.

The report mentions that tickets to flights to or from Nagpur are not available for today, and weren’t available yesterday either.

Making up the grand list of guests are RSS supremo Mohan Bhagwat, Congress VP Rahul Gandhi, the CM of Bihar, Nitish Kumar, Hema Malini and Amitabh Bachchan from Bollywood and the NCP’s Sharad Pawar.

Gadkari’s daughter Ketki is marrying Aditya, the son of Sandhya and Ravindra Kaskhedikar from Nagpur. Aditya works with social networking giant Facebook.
