Ever noticed why some individuals attain success in less period? Or, why do they chase their dreams faster than a normal individual?

This is because the intensity of their work culture is different from any normal employee with some smart work that plays a major role to skyrocket them towards the deck of achievements. Professionals that work hard to help their company grow are being recognized often. They have to strive hard to showcase their talent and upgrade their level to infinity of good skills. Sachin Hosabettu was one such multidimensional personality that has ruled the contact centre with his diversified attitude of accomplishments from ages.

He had been such an individual who grabbed two different awards in the recently concluded Contact Centre Digital Summit curated by Mr. Abidali Dossa & his fantastic team. Achieving such a feat in the presence of an eminent jury & the speakers is no less than a dream purchased at the cost of intense hard work and sacrifice. Sachin Hosabettu acclaimed himself to be the perfect match for the awards of 'Disruptive Contact Centre Leader in Sales' & 'Contact Centre Leader in Sales'.

We questioned him about his thought process and work culture story, making him, unlike personality. But then, we found out he already had multiple awards in his bucket & this was just an addition to the list.

What were the challenges you faced while transforming yourself into different roles?

We label ourselves as individuals that perform different things with different profiles or roles. Still, the truth is that if you want to be successful, you have to follow two key indicators - People Management & Performance Management. The rest is just a subset of these two pillars of one's career.  If we can balance them both, success will automatically follow us no matter how cliché it might sound. That is the reality of life.

What were some of the aspects that flourished your work life?

I have a fantastic 18+ long years of work journey with some tough experiences that helped me be a refined player. My parents and my brother have been great sources of inspiration for me.

Starting with a BPO in 2002, I regularly worked swing shifts from 12 am – 8 am. This was the time people were joining call centres to earn money without any objective to grow.

To tease, people used to call me 'Call Centre Wala', and I did not mind because I strongly believe that whatever you do in life has a return policy. In an international BPO, interacting with people from different countries in their languages, learning work-life aspects, and understanding their work culture is a tough task.

Selling credit cards made me realize my marketing traits. Eventually, I learned some expert sales attributes and tricks of the trade that excelled in my work and got promoted to lead a team of experts.

Is there a particular moment or memory that stands out for you?

I travelled to many organizations to explore some abilities under experienced officials.

In the earlier stage of my career, I had an outsider view of a company called "3". Then I heard really good things about it. I just required a magical opportunity to work there. Almighty was kind, as the chance was given, and I grabbed it completely.

Working in Tech Mahindra Business Services (earlier called "3") with renowned personalities was a dream come true. Here, employees were given appreciation and certification for their work, and at the same time, they were trained to understand business and people. While working here, I received multiple awards that were proof of my determination towards business upliftment. These eight years went by like a heartbeat, and sometimes, I miss those days with them.

How did Upstox help you in your growth?

At Upstox, I have excellent, down-to-earth founders who not only work with an innovative business-driven approach but also contain an employee-centric mindset.

I got a fantastic and helpful mentor, Puneet Maheshwari (Director), who showed me a crystal clear vision of different approaches to situations and enhanced my abilities to discover solutions for problems. Accompanied by immensely talented senior officials like Kavita and Vinit, it drove me towards the future prospective analysis of the business.

Being a loyalist towards my company, I was hoping you could check out our application Upstox Pro (#StartKarkeDekho). Everyone should start investing for themselves, as I think this is one of the best platforms to start your journey in trading and investment.

How does your family react to the achievements you have?

My wife Jackline and daughter Samaira were very happy about this feat of mine. Being a part of my career, they always showed their love, support, and care concerning every decision I took. These aspects launched me on the successful track, and I never looked back again. The true struggle arrives when it comes to balancing work and home together. But my family has been turning a blind eye to me, ignoring them due to immense work and still showered unconditional love.

So what's next on a professional & personal note?

I am confident in my team and my colleagues, which is a source of confidence in what I am doing at work. As a result, I strive to be better at what I am doing and aspire to take the channel partnership segment to new heights.

On my front (which has been little), I'm trying to spend more time with my family. Sometimes people on the top forget what the real reason for all the hard work and effort is. It's a way to give the best life we can to our family. We often forget to enjoy our lives to the fullest while striving for excellence at work.

"The Call Centre Wala", to now proudly being called "The Call Centre Man", is a journey to ultimately become "The Family Man" in the true sense.

I have wanted to make some changes at home for a long time but haven't been able to. I intend to complete the pending domestic changes as soon as possible.
