Think of your favourite Bollywood star, think of your favourite looks by them, whoever it is, the chances are that the man behind the makeup look is Aditya Kumar Sharma. He hails from the city of Lucknow, and whenever any of his A-lister clients are in the city, they always come to him to get their makeup done.

Aditya Kumar Sharma is quickly becoming the beauty industry's most sought after makeover professional. He has worked with the country's biggest celebrities and worked his magic in scores of big fat Indian weddings.

He lost his parents at a young age and was able to sustain himself by working odd jobs. Even when he was struggling to make ends meet, Sharma knew in his heart that his calling lay in makeup. Once he finally saved enough, he enrolled in a makeup artistry course to learn makeup basics. Finally feeling at home among makeup brushes, he continued working in this field and enrolled in a professional course for makeup in Mumbai.

After finishing this course, Sharma shifted full-time attention to working as an MUA, and soon his work started getting recognised - even winning accolades. After kick-starting his career, he has opened his academy, trains future makeup artists, and educates underprivileged students for free.

Makeup and beauty are not only huge industries but also important features of society. Makeup has defined decades, generations, symbolised important movements, liberations and is an outfit for personal expression. It is an art that chooses the skin as the canvas, and makeup artists like Sharma day in and day out create modern-day mona lisas with their skills and efforts.

Be it an editorial shoot, a casual day out, a sangeet or a wedding night - there is no look that Aditya Kumar Sharma can't conquer.

While everyone can pick up a brush and a palette, Sharma's hands possess a skill that only a select few have. And the skill is one of giving confidence. His innovative makeup techniques have time and time again created head-turning looks that enhance the client's unique features and makes them comfortable in their skin. Of course, his skills are unmatchable, but by empowering the client through his skills, he gives them the confidence to face everything with their head held high.
