Three bunglows for chief minister Nitish Kumar has raised the hackles of the opposition in Bihar where at least 150 legislators still don’t have official houses.

The Hindu reported that the Bihar CM has been given three official bunglows-- two in Patna and one in Delhi.

“When will vikas (development) come out of Mr. Kumar’s bunglow”, The Hindu quoted an opposition party member as saying.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, who joined the ruling NDA at the Centre after breaking ties with RJD and Congress, was allotted a posh bunglow in Lutyens' Delhi recently. The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs allotted the top bracket bungalow at 6 K Kamraj Lane to the JD(U) supremo, an official told news agency PTI.

Every state has a certain quota of bungalows in the national capital. Based on that quota, Kumar, as the chief minister, was alloted the house.

Opposition leader Tejaswi Yadav said,“Nitish Kumar spends most of his time in Delhi and is not interested in development work in Bihar.”

The official address of the chief minister is “1, Anne Marg, Patna”. Across the road is another house on 7, Circular Road which was allotted to him as former Chief Minister after he resigned in 2014 taking responsibility for the party’s poor show in Lok Sabha elections.

Aam Aadmi Party members on Saturday said the party would launch a "massive agitation" against the Nitish Kumar government in Bihar next month over issues of health, education and corruption.

"The state has, in recent past, witnessed a number of scams like Srijan, irregularities in construction of toilets, disbursement of scholarships, etc. We will launch a massive agitation against these in March," AAP Rajya Sabha member and the party in-charge for Bihar, Sanjay Singh told reporters.
