The civil aviation ministry too has moved in with its special advisory thatcomes into immediate effect:

  • No liquids allowed in person or in the hand baggage except for baby food and medicines with proper medical prescriptions.
  • Only one item of hand baggage allowed on flights except those bound for Britain.Laptops or camera bags will count as hand baggage. However, small purses or bags of ladies will be allowed separately.
  • All passengers should report at airports 90 minutes before take off for domestic flights and three hours ahead for international flights.
  • Counters of all airlines will close 30 minutes before flights take off.
  • Hand baggage will be checked manually after being X-rayed.
  • No mobile phones, laptops and other electronic gadgets will be allowed for passengers travelling to Britain.
  • Hand baggage (in transparent air bags) containing passport, wallet and ticket allowed on flights to Britain.
  • No liquor purchased from duty free will be allowed on board flights to all destinations.
