Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s recent apology over his memoir “An Ordinary Life” may not be enough as his former girlfriend, Sunita Rajwar, has sent him a legal notice of Rs 2 crore for "tarnishing her image" by fudging up details about their break up. She also demanded an unconditional apology from the actor.
According to The Asian Age, Rajwar, a TV and theatre personality, also slammed the book, which was recently withdrawn by the actor. On November 4, she sent the actor the legal notice demanding Rs 2 crore as compensation for causing great mental agony and seeking to tarnish her image.

The newspaper has claimed that it has a copy of the seven-page legal notice, which was shared by Rajwar, that notifies the “Babumoshai Bandookbaaz” actor, co-author Rituparna Chatterjee and publishers of the book.

The newspaper added that the notice stated that Siddiqui claim that she dumped him because he wasn’t successful, is merely a figment of the actor’s imagination.
On October 30, Siddiqui issued an apology for "hurting the sentiments" of women whose names he had mentioned in his memoir, allegedly without their consent and has decided to withdraw the book.

The 43-year-old actor took to Twitter in the wake of the controversy surrounding the book in which he detailed his relationships and flings with former Miss India Niharika Singh and Rajwar.
The critically acclaimed actor drew a lot of flak for revealing personal details about his "passionate" affair with his "Miss Lovely" co-star Niharika.
Excerpts from the book started doing the rounds on October 23 and Niharika issued a statement a day later slamming Nawaz for "exploiting and disrespecting" a woman to sell his autobiography.
While Rajwar took to Facebook to blast the actor for spreading lies and claiming that she dumped him for his "poor status".
"I did not dump you for your poor status but for your poor thinking," Rajwar said, adding she was poorer than the actor at that time and their relationship did go beyond a play on which they worked together.
What the actor wrote about "Sunita":
"I was performing in a play in Mumbai which was when I finally had my first romantic relationship. Sunita had fallen madly in love with me. Every day, she would come over, hang out at my house in Mira Road and scrawl our names in tiny font all over the wall… You remember those old-fashioned hearts with the names of lovers in it, sometimes with an arrow across it, sometimes without? Her doodles (on his wall) were something like that. Then she went off on a holiday to her hometown in the hills to see her folks. When she returned, Sunita would not take any of my calls. And when she did, at last, I was flabbergasted. After such a deep, passionate love, she simply said, ‘Nawaz, you focus on your career. And I will focus on my career.’ She cut off all contact after that and I plunged into another deep, deep depression. I took a bucket of fresh white paint and began to replace her artwork on my walls with the blank canvas that they were before.”
“Soon after her call, one day I was at the station and stood there staring at the tracks. A train was coming, screaming its arrival with a lusty horn. It would be simple and instant. Should I jump on to the tracks and end it all? End this struggle, end this life? I had nothing. No love, no work, no money. But some being woke up in me and gave me a metaphorical slap. ‘You know this is not your department,’ the voice in my head said. ‘Then why? Why did you go that way? Why!’ it screamed at me. I decided that I would never again be emotional in any relationship.”
