A newborn baby was found with his throat slit near a housing society at Dombivli on Monday, police said.
On receiving information yesterday of the body of a baby lying near the building the police went to the spot and found that the throat of the new born was slit with a sharp weapon and the body was packed in a blue coloured bag, said police.
“When a resident from the society was clearing the garbage area near the building, he found the body in a plastic bag. Later, he alerted other residents and who alerted the police,” said a police officer.

Manpada police have lodged a case against an unidentified person under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code.
Manpada police have launched a manhunt to nab the culprits, police said.
