Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh, on Saturday, shared an image from a scene from his upcoming flick '83', in which he has been cast as Kapil Dev, India's first Cricket World Cup-winning captain. (More Cricket News)

In the still, Ranveer is seen lifting the World Cup trophy at the balcony of Lord's. He captioned the post: "This is '83." Good enough to tell the history of Indian sport's watershed moment.

The sports-drama also stars Deepika Padukone, opposite Ranveer, as Romi Bhatia -- Kapil's wife. Other unmissable characters are Sunil Gavaskar (Tahir Raj Bhasin), Mohinder Amarnath (Saqib Saleem), Balwinder Sandhu (Ammy Virk) and Krishnamachari Srikkanth (Jiiva).

The movie is being co-produced by Madhu Mantena, Sajid Nadiadwala, and Reliance Entertainment. Helmed by Kabir Khan, the movie is slated for release on April 10.
