Eid-E-Milad: PM Modi, Rahul Gandhi And Other Leaders Greet Followers

On the occasion of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi, political leaders are wishing the followers. President of India, the Prime Minister and various influential leaders have tweeted to embark the festival.

As Muslims celebrate the festival of Milad-un-Nabi, they are greeted by various leaders from all around the world. In India, many leaders have tweeted to embark this festival. 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave the message of peace and prosperity and wished for the 'brotherhood' to prevail. He tweeted, 

Rahul Gandhi, Senior leader from the Indian National Congress, also wished for the citizens to be guided by compassion peace and brotherhood. He represents the Wayanad Lok Sabha constituency from Kerala. He tweeted

The President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind tweeted and asked the followers to take inspiration from Prophet's (Hazrat Mohammad Saheb's) life and work towards the prosperity of the society.

The festival of Eid-e-Milad is celebrated on the occasion of the birthday of the Prophet of Islam, Hazrat Mohammad Saheb. Muslims from the Sufi or the Barelvi school of thought generally observe this festival. It is also known as Un-Nabi by the name of E-Milad, Nabi Day, Mohammad's birthday or the Prophet's birthday. Dr. Tahir-ul-Quadri a Pakistani–Canadian Islamic scholar and former politician who founded Minhaj-ul-Quran International and Pakistan Awami Tehreek tweeted, 

Naveen Patnaik, the Chief Minister of Odisha also wished for a peaceful and harmonious world. He tweeted, 

The Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal tweeted in Hindi, "I wish everyone a happy Eid-ul-Milad-un-Nabi. The values of brotherhood, peace and service to humanity laid out by Prophet Hazrat Mohammad Sahab will inspire humankind forever."

Bollywood actor and BJP leader Paresh Rawal also expressed his greetings on the festival.
