Former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Omar Abdullah took a jibe at the casting of PM Narendra Modi, a biopic of the incumbent prime minister. Directed by Omung Kumar, the film will feature Vivek Anand Oberoi as Narendra Modi. The poster was launched on Monday with great fanfare by Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis.

Taking to Twitter, the JKNC chief wrote, "Life is unfair Dr Manmohan Singh got someone of the calibre of Anupam Kher. Poor Modi ji has to settle for Vivek Oberoi. Salman Khan hota toh kya maza aata."

Earlier, soon after the release of the trailer of The Accidental Prime Minister, Abdullah had taken a hardly-veiled dig at Modi. "Can't wait for when they make The Insensitive Prime Minister. So much worse than being the accidental one," he had tweeted.

The Accidental Prime Minister is slated to open in theatres this Friday (January 11).

Alongside the movies based on Dr Manmohan Singh and PM Narendra Modi, Thackeray (based on the life and times of Balasaheb Thackeray), Uri: The Surgical Strike, and the NTR biopic are also set to come out in coming months, giving a bit of an election taste to Bollywood.
