Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday addressed his monthly radio broadcast 'Mann ki Baat' for the first time after returning to power for the second term.

On February 24, days before the Lok Sabha elections were announced, he had suspended his monthly broadcast for March and April.

Confident of his return, Modi had said he will be back with the programme on the last Sunday of May.

The BJP-led NDA returned to power with a massive mandate and Modi was sworn in as the prime minister on May 30.

11: 35 am: PM Modi ends his 'Mann Ki Baat', saying that next episode would be held in the coming month.

11:33 am:  PM Modi appreciates the awareness of Yoga in villages and worldwide. Various Yoga teachers and preachers were awarded for their contribution to Yoga on International Yoga Day.

11: 27 am: "Water crisis hits many parts of the nation every year. You will be surprised that only 8% of the rainwater in the whole year is harvested in our country."

11:25 am: PM Modi makes his request on saving water and asks his listeners to contribute towards water conservation. He appealed everyone to use #JalShakti4JalShakti and suggest traditional methods to create awareness.

11: 17 am: "In the 2019 General elections, India witnessed 61 crore voters exercising their franchise. It was the largest democratic election ever held in the world. In a remote area of Arunachal Pradesh, just for one voter, a booth was set up."

11: 12 am: "When the emergency was imposed, resistance against it was not just in political circles or politicians; the movement was not limited to the jails. There was anger in the conscience of everyone." 

11:10 am: PM Modi talks about his experience in the solitary cave in Kedarnath, saying "I undertook Kedarnath journey to meet my inner self."  "Some people politicized my trip", he added.
