 Muniyandi Swami temple in Vadakkampatti in Tamil Nadu’s Madurai has a special item as its prasad during the Muniyandi festival.

The temple serves Biryani as prasad wherein devotees donate funds for the prasad’s ingredients. People come to offer worship and donate for the temple.

One of the devotee said, “We're celebrating this festival for last 84 years. Around 1000 kg rice, 250 goats and 300 chickens are used to make biryani, we use public donations for it”.
