Delhi Health Minister and Aam Aadmi Party leader Satyendar Jain has tested negative for Coronavirus after he was was admitted to a hospital due to high fever and breathing issues.

Jain was tested for COVID-19 as he suffered from fever and drop in oxygen level, an official said.

The state health minister tweeted to inform that he was admitted to the Rajiv Gandhi Super Speciality Hospital (RGSSH) in Delhi, a dedicated COVID-19 facility under the Delhi government.

"Due to high grade fever and a sudden drop of my oxygen levels last night I have been admitted to RGSSH. Will keep everyone updated," Jain posted on Twitter.

Jain was present in the all-party meet on Monday that was chaired by Union Home Minister Amit Shah to review the situation in the national capital in view of the Coronavirus pandemic.

Meanwhile, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal tweeted to Jain, "Without taking care of your health, you engaged in public service 24 hours a day. Take care and get well soon".

Earlier, Kejriwal had tested negative for Coronavirus after he went into self-isolation. 

As of Monday, the total number of COVID-19 cases in Delhi is 42,829 and the death toll stands at 1,400, as per the Delhi Health Department.
