The total number of confirmed cases of Coronavirus in India has reached 1,637, including 386 new cases since Tuesday, the government said on Wednesday.
There've been 38 deaths while 132 people have recovered.
The Health Ministry said the number of positive cases soared since Tuesday, saying one of the main reasons for the surge was the travel by members of Tablighi Jamat.
The number of COVID-19 positive cases linked to the Nizamuddin Markaz, where a large group of people was staying during the second and third week of March following a religious gathering, has risen to 93, news agency IANS reported.

At least 1,800 people related to Tablighi Jamaat have been sent to 9 hospitals and quarantine centers. The recent rise in cases does not represent a national trend, said Lav Agrawal, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Health.
Tamil Nadu is witnessing a spike in the number of positive cases from the Nizamuddin event as 50 attendees have tested positive, Tamil Nadu Health Secretary Beela Rajesh said.
The state government also said that out of 1,131 people who returned to the state from Delhi, where the around 1,800-strong congregation was held, 515 have been traced while the remaining 616 have been asked to self-report.

Similar exercise is on in Telangana where six people who returned from Delhi have died and teams are visiting some of these people at their homes in Hyderabad.
Maharashtra has reported the most deaths (9) so far, followed by Gujarat (6), Karnataka, Punjab and Madhya Pradesh (3 each), Delhi, West Bengal and Jammu and Kashmir (2 each). Kerala, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Bihar and Himachal Pradesh have reported a fatality each.
The highest number of cases of the deadly disease was reported from Kerela with 234 infections so far, followed by Maharashtra at 216 and Uttar Pradesh at 101.
