In a new video, Shiv Sena MP Ravindra Gaikwad is seen threatening to throw an Air India staffer off the ramp connecting the flight and the terminal. He is then schooled by another airline staffer on the basics of democracy and what it means to be a member of Parliament.
Private carriers have taken a call and barred the Sena MP from flying on their flights. This after the Lok Sabha representative from Osmanabad in Mahrashtra claimed to have rained 25 blows with a sandal on a 60-year-old airline staffer for not helping him with a business-class seat.
The video that has now emerged contains an exchange between an Air India staffer (AIS) and Gaikwad (RG).

AIS: ‘He’s not worth it Sir’.
*Cries of* ‘Don’t do that! Arrey neeche gir jaayega toh?! (What if he falls?!),’ by the Air India staff.
*In the background* ‘Bacchon jaise behave kar raha hai. Mil ke maarte hain saale ko andar hi, kaun **** poochega. CISF Bulao, Romesh, taan ke nikaalo ****** ko (He’s behaving like a kid. Lets beat him up inside, no one will know. Call the CISF, Romesh, pull the **** out)
AIS: ‘Sir, you’re a role model no? Parliament kaun pohoch sakta hai sir, iss chhote aadmi ke muh lag ke… aap jail kyun jaana chahte hain? (It is difficult to find a place in the Parliament, why are you arguing with ‘little’ people. Why do you want to go to jail?)

RG: ‘Kaun?’
AIS: ‘Aap phenk denge murder case ho jaayega na sir’ (If you throw him off then there will be a murder case for you to deal with, sir)
RG: ‘Hone do na, bohot cases hain upar’ (Let it be, I have many cases against me.)
AIS: ‘Nahi sir, bohot mushkil se aaye hain aap iss stage pe, yeh jagah mili hai. (No sir, you have faced a lot of difficulties to be in the position that you now occupy.) You are our representative. You are our democratic leader, we have elected you. Please don’t do anything silly because of a stupid man.’
The Lok Sabha MP had to be literally schooled into sitting down in his seat and not create a further scene.
The suggestion of a murder-case against his name, however, did not deter Gaikwad in the least. “Let it be, I have many cases against me,” he says in the video.
What everyone probably knows by now, Gaikwad may hit people, but he does not lie. He was very precise on the number of sandal-blows he rained and he has quite the number of cases against him too.
According to MyNeta.info, Gaikwad the charges framed against Gaikwad include three sections of the IPC: 336,332 and 147.
IPC 336: Endangering Life or personal safety of others.
IPC 332: Voluntarily causing hurt to deter public servant from his duty.

The incident took place at the New Delhi international airport moments after the plane landed from Pune at around 11 a.m. on Thursday.
Speaking to ANI, the MP said he wanted a ticket for business class but Air India provided him economy class.
Expressing no regret for his actions at the time, the Shiv Sena MP said, “Yes I hit him 25 times, because he misbehaved with me. I had paid for a business class ticket. This is not the first time it has happened.”

“I have complained several times but no action has been taken. So this time I lost my cool,” he was quoted as saying.
