The Election Commission of India (ECI) today announced Polling for legislative assembly elections in Tripura to be held on Feb 18 and polling in Meghalaya and Nagaland to be held on Feb 27 .
Counting of votes for all three states will be held on March 3 .
The EC said that the model code of conduct comes into effect from today in for the legislative assembly elections in the northeastern states of Meghalaya, Tripura and Nagaland on Thursday.
The Election Commission is holding a press conference in New Delhi to announce the dates for the polls
The Chief Election Commissioner, AK Joti said EVM and VVPAT will be used in all three states and first level checks have been completed.

tTe three states have 60 seats each,
The Legislative Assembly elections 2018 in Tripura, Meghalaya, and Nagaland will be conducted in a single phase.
