Refuting reports that the Chief Justice of India Dipak Misra will hold a press conference today after four senior Supreme Court judges took on the CJI in an unprecedented Press Conference, the Bar and Bench reported that the CJI is hearing cases as usual in the court.
News agency ANI had reported that Attorney General KK Venugopal was supposed to accompany him. It was also reported that the Attorney General KK Venugopal met the CJI over the allegations made by the 4 Supreme Court judges.
"CJI Dipak Misra had called AG KK Venugopal for the Unitech case. Not about the Judges Press Conference as some media outlets are putting it out. The CJI is hearing cases like he does everyday," the Bar and Bench clarified in a tweet.

According to sources, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has spoken to Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, about the allegations made by the four Supreme Court judges.
Earlier in the day, four senior Supreme Court judges addressed the media to place before the nation their concerns, which, according to them, failed to move the Chief Justice of India Dipak Misra.
The rare press conference -- attended by Justices Jasti Chelameshwar, Ranjan Gogoi, Madan Lokur and Kurian Joseph --was the first in the history of independent India and a first also for the Supreme Court.
The four senior judges appealed to the nation to save their institution if they wanted democracy in the country to survive.

Speaking on behalf of the four judges, Justice Chelameswar expressed his concern over the corrosion and compromise taking place within the institution of the judiciary and especially within the portals of the Supreme Court.
"It is an extremly painful moment for all four of us and there is no pleasure in holding this press conference," he said, adding that democracy will not survive without free judiciary.
In very strong words against the CJI, Justice Chelameswar said "We met the CJI with a specific request which unfortunately couldn't convince him that we were right therefore, we were left with no choice except to communicate it to the nation that please take care of the institution."
"The administration of the SC is not in order & many things which are less than desirable have happened in last few months," he added.
