As the violence in Bulandshahr district of Uttar Pradesh on Monday created stir in the region in which two men including a police officer were killed, Uttar Pradesh police have named 27 people in the FIR and investigation is being carried out to nab the accused.
Four of the accused are workers of the right-wing organisation Bajrang Dal. Most of the accused who instigated violence are farmers, as per a report on the Indian Express.
According to police, 25-year-old Yogesh Raj, the main accused in the killing of police inspector Subodh Kumar Singh, is a second-year LLB student and was working with the Bajrang Dal for some time. He is on the run.

The second accused Devender (55) is a farmer and his son Chaman (21) aspires to become a police officer. Raj Kumar (36), is former village chief, while Jitender Malik (24), who is in Indian Army is also an accused.
Mukesh (30) is a driver while Sachin (35) is a farmer and a BJP volunteer who had completed Class XII. Similarly, Vineet (30) is unemployed and has studied till Class XII. Tinku (18) works with his father in farming and is named as an accused in the violence where a mob of some 400 people, including right-wing activists, fought pitched battles with police on Monday.

During investigation it came to light that most of the accused are involved in farming and do not have any strong political affiliations. Nine of them have completed Class X.
The Indian Express report also suggested that most of the accused belong to Jats and Rajput community who expressed anger over alleged cow smuggling and slaughtering.
The riot broke in Siana area of Bulandshahr district after discovery of cow carcasses strewn in a nearby jungle. An angry mob set fire to dozens of vehicles, hurled stones and fired at police personnel who retaliated with gunfire.
