After he created a social media storm by questioning the quality of food served to the BSF in a video, jawan Tej Bahadur Yadav has now appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi in another video, claiming he is being hounded for exposing corruption within his department and questioning the PM’s desire to oust corruption.

“I want to ask the Prime Minister, that the food I had shown was true but despite that there has not been an investigation into the matter. I am being hounded. Why is this happening? The Prime Minister wanted to wipe corruption from the country. I had shown an instance of corruption within my department. Is this the result of pointing out corruption within the system?,” he asks in the video.

Earlier, reports mentioned that sources within the government said that Yadav had 17 percent of his Facebook friends from Pakistan. The jawan says that his phone was submitted on the 10th January and says that it has been “meddled with”. “After that I came to know that my mobile phone has been meddled with and some friends from Pakistan came up. I want to request you to not believe in false rumours unless I communicate to you directly,” he says in the video.

After Yadav’s video had gone viral, the BSF told the Delhi High Court on Thursday that the allegations of sub-standard food were ‘false’ and that no complaint was made in the matter. “I request all the 125 crore citizens of the country to ask the PM, why is it that if a jawan decides to expose corruption within the system, he is being mentally tortured constantly; even my VRS has been held back,” he says in the video.

Yadav’s video had caused a major flutter on social media and people were outraged over the diet and conditions that the defence forces were subject to. Earlier, his wife had said that Yadav was being 'mentally tortured' and that his VRS had been withheld.
