Big bikes dominated the news this week as the likes of the KTM 790 Duke, Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin, Triumph Street Triple RS and Aprilia GPR250 made the most noise. Plus, we got news of a more affordable version of the Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350 is coming soon while Mahindra becomes the first Indian electric two-wheeler manufacturer to export electric scooters to Europe. The Scalpel Is Finally Here
KTM has finally offered its loyal legions of Indian orange fanatics a chance to upgrade from the 390 Duke on to something more powerful with the 790 Duke. Termed as the Scalpel, the 790 Duke aims to offer great performance in a lightweight avatar with tonnes of electronic aids. However, it is not as deliciously priced as small capacity KTM motorcycles have been in the past. Good news is that the 790 Duke will be upgraded to BS6 norms, the BS6-compliant 200 Duke will be launched by January 2020, the next-gen RC 390 was spotted testing and the 790 Adventure will arrive in India in the next 12 months. Things certainly look a lot more orange in the coming 12 months.

Could This Be Aprilia’s Big Small Bike For India?
We knew that Aprilia were going to bring a slightly larger capacity motorcycle than earlier touted RS 150. With the GPR250 revealed in China, it would very well be the big small RS-badged Aprilia that we have been longing from the Italian manufacturer.

Honda likes to be ahead of the curve, especially when it comes to emission norms. Its Indian arm launched India’s first BS6-compliant two-wheeler, the Activa 125, a couple of weeks ago and now we finally have the Euro 5-compliant Africa Twin. It is gone up in cubic capacity as well as capability with a lot more fancy features and gizmos.

Benelli Starts Accepting Bookings For The Imperiale 400

Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350 To Get More Affordable
Just like it did with the Bullet 350 and the Classic 350, Royal Enfield is planning to launch a more affordable version of the Thunderbird 350 very soon. Documents from the Delhi Transport Authority show few changes made to Enfield’s entry-level cruiser so as to make it a more enticing proposition for potential buyers.
