Hyundai Creta: The Creta is the best-selling compact SUV and that reflects in its waiting period as well. It commands the longest waiting period of the lot, but buyers in Delhi, Kolkata and Ghaziabad are in luck as the wait here extends up to just a week. Faridabad, Indore and Gurugram residents will have to endure the longest wait of two to three months. Kia’s Creta rival, the Seltos will make its debut this month on 20 June and it will be interesting to see how that affects the Creta’s popularity.

Maruti Suzuki S-Cross: The S-Cross is fairly easily available across India with the highest waiting period of six weeks in Chennai and Coimbatore. Nexa showrooms in Delhi, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Surat, Ghaziabad and Faridabad should have the S-Cross readily available, but that’s again dependent on your particular variant, powertrain and colour choice.

Renault Captur and Duster: Both the Renault SUVs have an identical waiting period across India except Indore, where there’s no wait on the Duster, but a week-long delay for the Captur. Buyers in Patna, Coimbatore and Surat will have to wait the least. Buyers in Lucknow and Gurugram, however, will have to be patient for around 25 days to one month.

Nissan Kicks: If the Nissan Kicks is on your radar, then chances are you might not have to wait at all, especially in Noida, Faridabad, Indore, Ghaziabad, Surat and Kolkata. Maximum wait is for Pune and Bengaluru buyers.
