  • Expect the Multistrada 1260 Enduro to be priced at Rs 19-19.5 lakh (ex-showroom India).
  • The ADV features electronically adjustable Ducati Skyhook suspension with 200mm travel on both ends.

Ducati India is all set to launch the Multistrada 1260 Enduro on 9 July 2019. It will be the Italian brand’s most hardcore, off-road-centric ADV in the country. Ducati currently offers the Multistrada 1200 Enduro at Rs 18.03 lakh (ex-showroom India). We believe that the Multistrada 1260 Enduro will command a premium of about Rs 1-1.5 lakh over the 1200cc variant. It was unveiled a month before last year’s EICMA show. The upcoming ADV will go up against the BMW R 1250 GS Adventure and the Triumph Tiger 1200 XCx in its segment.

So what’s exactly the Multistrada 1260 Enduro all about? To begin with, it features a bigger 1262cc Testastretta DVT liquid-cooled L-twin engine which produces 157.7PS at 9,500rpm and 128Nm at 7500rpm. That makes the new motorcycle more powerful than the outgoing one by 5.5PS. It is paired with a 6-speed transmission with standard bi-directional quick-shifter. The motorcycle is reined by a wide variety of electronic nannies like three-level cornering ABS, 8-level traction control, rider modes, wheelie control and hill-hold control, to name a few.

Further enhancing the bike’s off-road prowess is the electronically adjustable Ducati Skyhook suspension with 48mm inverted front fork and a rear monoshock. They offer a massive 200mm wheel travel on both ends. The motorcycle rides on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear spoke wheels with Pirelli Scorpion Trail II tubeless tyres. Brakes include dual 320mm discs with Brembo M4.32 radial calipers up front and a disc at the rear. A 30-litre fuel tank ensures you have a healthy touring range too.
