Ahead of the official launch of the 2019 Honda Activa 125, we’ve got some news which seems to be quite interesting. According to the leaked RTO documents, it has come to our knowledge that the 124cc single-cylinder engine, which is BS6-compliant, produces 8.29PS of power at 6,500rpm. If you have a keen eye, then you’d notice that the 2019 model produces 0.34PS less than the previous model (8.63PS).
Apart from the engine specs, the documents have also shed light on the dimensions of the new Activa 125. At 1260mm, the wheelbase remains the same as the previous-gen model. Interestingly, the updated Activa is 36mm longer (1850mm) and 19mm taller (1170mm) than before. Just like the current model, the 2019 Activa 125 will be available in three variants: front disc with alloy wheels, drum brakes with alloy wheels and drum brakes with sheet metal wheels.

While the current Activa 125 range starts from Rs 60,627 and goes all the way up to Rs 65,012, the BS6-compliant range could start from Rs 65,000. Apart from the Activa 125, Honda hasn’t revealed which scooters/motorcycles will be the next in line to be updated. Whereas Yamaha, on the other hand, has announced that it will start updating its motorcycles from November this year.
